About the Artist
I am a self-taught acrylic painter. Painting has been my passion since age 12. During my high school years in Burlington, CT, I majored in art and business, then worked in the insurance industry for 40 years. I retired on July 1, 2014 to continue my dream as an artist.
While employed at The Travelers Insurance Company, Hartford, CT, The Travelers used my paintings for their Agents Greeting Cards in 1984, 1985 and 1987. All three paintings were an interpretation and style after artist G.H. Durrie.
While employed at Orion Capital Companies, Farmington, CT, Orion also used one of my paintings for their company Christmas Card in 1995.
I love to paint New England landscapes and historic landmarks in a realistic style. Local areas of interest are Barkhamsted, Collinsville, New Hartford, Riverton and the northwest corner of CT. When I am not painting, I am excited to travel other areas of New England with my camera to capture beautiful images to use for future paintings.
